Second Street receives Gold Medal and Platinum Plate Award from Hampton Roads Magazine in 2010 & 2011!

Second Street is very proud to have been awarded this prestigious award in 2010 & 2011. We take great pride in our menu and are delighted that our efforts have been recognized by such an elite panel of foodies and culinary professionals!

The evaluations were performed anonymously by an elite group of culinary professionals, foodies and writers including chefs, food & wine retailers, food critics, book authors, passionate bloggers, magazine editors, newspaper columnists, previous award winners, and culinary institute instructors. They were hand selected to serve on the judging panel because of their professional talents and knowledge and passion for food!

The evaluation of restaurants was based on several categories, including: food quality, value (ratio of cost to food quality), service quality, overall appearance (including cleanliness and atmosphere), the likelihood of returning and/or recommending to others, and contribution to the uniqueness of the region's restaurant scene.
